Position Responsibilities:

• Report to work fit for duty and support the Western Industrial Resources safety culture.
• Follow directions.
• Prepare the layout of the project s scaffolding, by estimating height, width, length, and other proportions and select the proper scaffold system.
• Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisor.
• Work with scaffolding hand tools and equipment as well as transport parts by hand.
• Check work along the way to ensure its up to code and specifications (29 CFR 1926 Subpart L).
• Label and place scaffolding tags based on use, capacity, and hazards.
• Work from heights while maintaining 100% tie off
• Any other job duties that are required by management that pertain to this craft.
• Support Western Industrial Resources right to a drug free workplace.
• Use and support the use of our Stop Work Authority when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the craft.
• Must possess the hand tools required to complete their assigned duties.
• A positive attitude, self-motivated, eagerness to learn and a willingness to work hard every day.
• An ability to lead by a positive example and a commitment to working as a team.
• Attention and commitment to safety and an ability to follow instructions.
• Valid Driver s license and clean driving record if assigned to a company vehicle.
• Ability to multi-task and attention to detail.
• Negative preemployment drug test.

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to move 75 pounds.
• Physical dexterity, stamina, and excellent hand-eye coordination with the ability to: grasp, assemble and lift objects, stand, sit, and walk for extended periods over uneven surfaces, squat, bend, climb ladders and lie down. Ascend and descend scaffolding as well as being able to handle heavy parts & planks.

Work Environment:

• Ability to work outdoors with constant exposure to heat, cold, wind and rain.
