Position Responsibilities:

• Report to work fit for duty and support the Western Industrial Resources safety culture.
• Follow directions.
• Notify assigned supervisor or (journeyman) if helper needs to leave the work area.
• Learn to safety use the tools of the trade.
• Pay attention to task at hand and anticipate the next step to complete the job efficiently
• Have tools and consumables present and at hand to be replaced when needed.
• Any other job duties that are required by management that pertain to this craft
• Support Western Industrial Resources right to a drug free workplace.
• Use and support the use of our Stop Work Authority when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the craft they will be assisting.
• Must possess the hand tools required to complete their assigned duties.
• A positive attitude, self-motivated, eagerness to learn and a willingness to work hard every day.
• An ability to lead by a positive example and a commitment to working as a team.
• Attention and commitment to safety and an ability to follow instructions.
• Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record if assigned to a company vehicle.
• Ability to multi-task and attention to detail.
• Negative preemployment drug test.

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to move 75 pounds.
• Physical dexterity, stamina, and excellent hand-eye coordination with the ability to: grasp, assemble and lift objects, stand, sit, and walk for extended periods over uneven surfaces, squat, bend, climb ladders and lie down.

Work Environment: 

• Ability to work outdoors with constant exposure to heat, cold, wind and rain.
