Denver-based Western Export Services, Inc. is a full-service, International Food and Beverage Sales Management and Distribution Company. We represent several leading US brands and several innovative new-to-market brands. Locally owned and operated, in business since 1988, WES is centrally located a few blocks from the Colorado state capitol building.

We are looking for an energetic and committed Customer Service Specialist dedicated to detail who thrives on challenges and wants to be part of a successful team environment including daily interaction with global accounts.

The ideal candidate will have great customer service skills with a knowledge of international wholesale, logistics and export related to foods and beverages. This is not a typical retail CSR position.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for managing and executing sales orders, supply chain process, logistics, customer service and sales support. WES operates in a team environment and sees each employee playing a valuable and important role in their job position with all contributing to the profitability of the company.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

Order Management

• Process and track customer orders in QuickBooks Enterprise software
• Learn Product Lists, specifications and enter new items set up as necessary
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, sales team, and financial team regarding order status, shipping/service dates, prices, and product availability

Logistics / Shipping Management

• Schedule booking appointments for shipments, domestic and international
• Prepare shipping and export documentation including understanding and proper use of correct Incoterms (Incoterms 2020)
• Provide delivery transport & timing information to suppliers and customers
• Work with logistics partners to negotiate rates for various loads both domestic (over-the-road) and international (sea or air)

Relationship Support

• Establish and maintain key partner relationships with suppliers and customers to facilitate and improve customer and administration satisfaction
• Provide exceptional Customer Service to all customers and suppliers
• Answer a high volume of phone calls and emails from partners across various time zones in a timely manner with a positive attitude

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in email communication and MS Office suite. Adaptable to learning other software, including QuickBooks Enterprise
• Effectively communicate with various business contacts and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner
• Well organized with special attention to details and deadlines

Education and Experience

• Completion of high school diploma or accredited vocational training
• Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred and/or 3-5 years of increasingly responsible customer service and logistics experience
• Experience in a wholesale and/or international trade setting involving food and beverages is a plus
• Previous experience with QuickBooks Enterprise software strongly preferred
• Advanced understanding of Spanish language preferred

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items: must be able to use hands, stoop, bend, and reach with hands and arms
• Requires ability to perform standard, computer-based tasks in an office setting
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Requires the ability to speak, read, and write English, see and hear to perform essential duties of the job, and communicate clearly

COMPENSATION / BENEFITS

Compensation range: $45,000 - $55,000 annual salary, based on relevant experience and education
