RMPT is looking for a Service Writer at our Brighton, CO location. This position supports the Service Department by scheduling service technicians for repairs and maintenance of diesel power generation units, engines, and heavy equipment.

What You’ll Do:

• Take incoming service calls and collect the needed data from the customer for the Service Department.
• Open “Service” jobs. Schedule and coordinate a team of shop and field service technicians.
• Create estimates or assist Sales team with estimates if needed.
• Look over technician narratives for service jobs, ensuring all required material is on the job, and sign off for the job to be invoiced.
• Take technicians’ notes and, when needed, turn them into a narrative that the customer understands.
• Invoice customers and secure payments.
• Order parts for service jobs and enter into Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

What You’ll Need:

• 5 years of experience in aftermarket parts and service in a relevant industry, such as power generation, heavy equipment, automotive, or marine.
• The ability to deal with many different types of customers, from a homeowner to an industrial building maintenance manager.
• Honesty and integrity.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Computer literacy.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
