Hayes Manufacturing is looking for an Inventory Controller at our Fife Lake, MI location. The Inventory Controller is responsible for maintaining adequate levels of material, hardware, and consumables while minimizing excess supply.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform critical inventory cycle counts to ensure the correct number of items are in stock at each location.
• Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts.
• Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records through the material resource planning (MRP) system.
• Consolidate on a continuous basis
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs.
• Keep all bins, aisles, and storage areas clean and clearly labeled.
• Analyze obsolete inventory and propose disposal (vendor return or scrap).

What You’ll Need:

• Associate degree in relevant field or relevant experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse operations.
• Must be able to obtain a forklift license.
• Experience with MRP systems.
• Organizational skills & detail-oriented focus.
• Technical capacity.
• Verbal and written communication proficiency.
• Results-driven, self-starting attitude.
• Problem-solving ability and excellent time management
