Westbrook Health Services is Hiring a L.P.N. IDD Population Mornings Near Parkersburg, WV

Expected Shift: Tuesday-Saturday 6a-230pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitors general health conditions of Individual including checking vital signs, performing basic medical treatments, and administering medications.
  • Order medication under the supervision of Prescriber and according to State Law.
  • Verifying physician orders are current, properly documented, and communicated to direct care staff.
  • Training clients on individualized medical and/or health needs (e.g., wound care, medically necessary diets, etc.).
  • Collect medical data for RNs.
  • Obtains informed consent from consumers.
  • Consult with RN regarding Individual’s specific issues when a medical need arises.
  • Maintains facility to ensure sanitary conditions.
  • Complying with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of all Individual information and complies with HIPAA regulations.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and support of Westbrook Health Services’ mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and code of ethical behavior.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business requirements.

Expected Shift: Tuesday-Saturday 6am-230pm

Qualification Requirements:

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Work with others, especially Individuals, in a professional, cooperative, ethical, respectful, and effective manner.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
  • Must pass Criminal Investigation Background and DHHR background checks as well as post offer drug screen.

Education and/or Experience: Must have a current state LPN license. Prior computer/PC experience using Computerized Medical Records and scheduling systems is preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements: The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or

feel; and reach forward with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
