Westaff is Hiring a Machine Operator Near Portland, CT
Westaff is looking for a Machine Operator for a Rubber Products Manufacturer in Portland, CT!
Shift: 8:00am-4:00pm, Mon-Fri- some OT and weekend hours as required
Pay: $17.50-20/hr (depending on experience level)
The Machine Operator/Molder requirements/expectations are:
- Operating press/molding machinery to produce rubber parts/product
- Following instructions accurately on the routing to mold parts- including mixing liquid rubber with small ovens/hot plates, spraying molds, cutting strips of rubber, hand loading rubber and or metals into the mold, etc.
- Performing quality inspection of product- reporting any cosmetic defects to Production Manager
- Entering order completion/data into computer system with accuracy
- Operating forklift as required
- Working within dusty manufacturing environment- hot/humid conditions during summer months
- Lifting heavy molds as required, standing for long periods during shift
- Working beyond normally scheduled hours, and/or on weekends- includes alternating shift according to production demands
