We are looking to hire a Machine Operator in New Britain, CT !

Pay : $19 / hr

1st shift!

Responsibilities

• Ability to set up and operate cold heading machinery according to instructions and blueprints
• Provide quality control and assurance functions that ensure products conform to engineering specifications and meet customer quality requirements
• Read blueprints or job orders to obtain product specifications (dimensions and tolerances) and tooling instructions (fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, etc.)
• Process production jobs as required
• Use precision measuring devices, such as fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometers, to ensure quality and verify dimensions and conformance
• Maintain tools, gauges, measuring devices and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
• Complete production paperwork and inspection procedures as directed
• Report any discrepancies to management

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Employee is required to bend, climb and twist. Usage of hands to grasp and manipulate objects, tools or controls is required.

This position requires squatting, pushing, pulling, walking, standing and sitting. The ability to lift / push / pull up to 50 pounds is necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

This position must have a high school diploma. Experience with cold heading equipment preferred but will consider experience with other metal stamping presses and equipment
