Employee will be assigned to the Division of Land Restoration, Office of Abandoned Mine Lands and Reclamation (AML), AML Waterline and Economic Revitalization (AMLER) Programs. Under general supervision of a licensed professional engineer, will perform the following technical services at the full performance level:
Applicant must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with federal, state, and local officials, the general public, supervisors, co-workers, and staff. Applicant must also have the ability to write reports in a clear, concise form, and present factual material and ideas effectively; and have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
***Note: Regular attendance is an essential part of this position.***
***Note: The recommended candidate will be subject to a search of his or her Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) prior to being hired and annually thereafter or as needed.***

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Engineering.
OR
Substitution: Bachelor's degree from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited college or university with a major in Civil, Electrical, Electrical Design, Mechanical, Chemical or Mining Engineering Technology.
AND
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid employment in engineering.
OR
Substitution: Master’s degree in engineering may substitute for two (2) years of the required experience.
Special Requirement: A valid driver’s license is required.
Promotional Only: Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in the Technical Analyst series may substitute for the required training and experience.
Other Information
Preference will be given to applicants who have Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Computer, Environmental, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or Technical Degrees.

Market Rate: $80,916
