JOB SUMMARY:

Assists with repairs and maintenance of all plant equipment; including plumbing, electrical and HVAC problems.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the Lead Maintenance Technician in all duties.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines, vehicles, landscape and systems including HVAC.
• Troubleshoot machine failures, including mechanical and electrical problems.
• Repair and adjust problems with industrial sewing machines.
• Make repairs to the facility such as installing light fixtures, patching drywall, and fixing minor plumbing issues.
• Position and cut material for government and state sewing projects.
• Set up pad printers by etching plates, mixing ink, and adjusting equipment settings.
• Set up silk screens
• Calibrate ink injection machines for consistent and accurate dispensing of ink.
• Make fixtures and jigs for the Manufacturing department.
• Respond immediately to repairs as reported by the Manufacturing Manager.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Starts up all critical systems prior to the production shift and shuts down equipment at the end of the production day.

· Move materials, load and unload trucks using forklift

· Drive company vehicle to pick up supplies or run errands.

· Any other responsibilities deemed appropriate by Management.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Two-years college education or equivalent mechanical experience.
• Experience using a lathe, end mill, band saw, table saw, and other shop machinery.
• Experience with mechanical repairs.
• Electrical knowledge, including reading wiring diagrams, 3-phase wiring, and diagnosing issues with electronic circuits in machines.
• Average reading, writing, arithmetic and communications skills required.
• Must be able to function in a team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• This is a manufacturing environment. Work will involve frequent lifting of materials and products up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity is required for repairing machinery and equipment.
• Must be able to stand for three to four hours at a time.

Job Type: Full-time
