Sales Representative
West Texas Fire & Industrial Supply, a 70 year-old company, is looking for an experienced full-time B2B Sales Representative. We are a diversified service and supply company: fire protection products & services; safety products & training; Hotsy pressure washer sales and pressure washer chemicals & service; commercial laundry chemicals; products and equipment for commercial housekeeping, floor care & commercial kitchens; paper products; commercial kitchen warewash machines.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Execute sales strategy, initiate contact with existing and potential customers, identify needs and sell appropriate merchandise to meet those needs.
Employment Requirements
Due to entry and access to a wide variety of facilities; including but not limited to financial institutions, military installations, correctional facilities, healthcare facilities, family crisis facilities, childcare or educational facilities and other potential sensitive facilities; applicant must pass a background check.
Essential Functions
1. Manage assigned accounts and provide customer service that exceeds expectations.
2. Call and visit prospective customers and establish buying cycles, customer needs, and create a customer supplier relationship.
3. Increase sales in respective accounts.
4. Prepare sales information for customers.
5. Establish buying influences, budgets and purchasing criteria for assigned accounts.
6. Secure and place orders taking into consideration delivery dates and inventory levels for fulfillment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Regular business hours are 8am-5pm. Discretion may be used regarding hours to maximize excellent customer service; i.e. individual may have to depart earlier than 8am to arrive at a customer’s place of business at the start of their business day, or stay later than 5pm to accommodate a customer’s hours.
Travel
This position requires 80% non-overnight travel. Individual must have reliable transportation, capable of operating a motor vehicle, maintain a valid drivers license and good driving record.
Required Education and Experience
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. B2B sales experience.
3. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
