Special Education Paraprofessional-TransitionsWest Springfield High SchoolParaprofessional will work in the Transition Program which services students aged 18 - 22. Focus is on developing job related skills and independent living skills.- Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning.- Alert the teacher of any problems or special information about students- Participate in in-service training programs, as assigned- Guide independent study, enrichment work and remedial work assigned by the teacher- Relate to students within the classroom in a manner consistent with the teacher's philosophy in the area of discipline and Instruction- Other duties as may be assigned-Experience working with special needs students preferredQualifications: -Associates Degree or 48 college credits attained or Workkeys, Associate degree preferred. -Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performedSalary: Per Unit D Contract
