West Side Beer Distributing is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver position for our Romulus branch. Responsible for delivering products to local retailers and supporting warehouse hilo tasks. Annual earning ranges from $45,000 to $55,000 annually

POSITION SUMMARY

The CDL A Delivery Driver is responsible for fulfilling the job description for the route he/she is assigned to daily. Duties consist of unloading and delivery of the product, accurate invoicing and collection of payment, inventory management, product quality and merchandising. Delivering products to retailers in a safe and efficient manner while professionally representing the company. This individual must be customer service oriented and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Responsible for adhering to company policies, procedures, DOT regulations, MLCC guidelines and supplier agreements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Home every evening, three-day weekends
• Handles product safely using proper lifting techniques and ensures minimal product damage.
• Obey traffic laws, and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Responsible for the security of the vehicle.
• Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and product use.
• Conduct and submit pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections for fuel, oil, water, tires, lights, brakes and refrigeration unit,to ensure that the vehicle is in proper working condition.
• Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles to the Fleet Manager.
• Present invoices and collect payments for products delivered or picked up.
• Verify truck inventory against load out sheet.
• Turn in receipts and money received from deliveries.
• Inform customers of delivery schedules, service, and other information about products.
• Attend company meetings and route sales meetings as required.
• Monitor product quality according to company and supplier standards.
• Maintain positive customer relations.

SKILLS & ABILITIESEducation: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: One to two years CDL-A driving experience preferred
Computer Skills: Previous experience using iPhone technology

Certificates & Licenses: Valid Commercial Drivers License

Other Requirements: Must pass a physical, drug screen, background check and motor vehicle report must meet minimum D.O.T. requirements
