West Side Beer Distributing is Hiring a Pricing Analyst Near Grand Rapids, MI

West Side Beer Distributing is seeking to fill the role of Financial Analyst in our Grand Rapids office.
POSITION SUMMARY
Duties include but are limited to the following:
  • Input and maintain pricing, discounts and special programs in the system for everyday and future use.
  • Maintain pricing data in the master price list file as well as the route accounting software.
  • Prepare analysis of costs, prices and profit margins for management.
  • Function as a liaison with Finance, Brand Management and Executive teams to ensure new items are accurately set up and proper pricing is maintained.
  • Coordinate with Brand Management and Key Account Manager on the impact of price changes to retail customers’ deadlines and expectations of notice.
  • Create Excel spreadsheets with pricing data and enter pricing into online portals.
  • Answer inquiries and research problems regarding pricing.
  • Able to work under pressure of time constraints and maintain/produce accurate records while providing a high level of service.
  • Capable of problem solving a variety of customer service issues and supporting a range of personalities, styles and customer types.
  • Accurate data entry and very high attention to detail.
  • Analyze pricing variances, follow up with supplier credit requests and prepare month end journal entries.
  • Prepare and distribute timely monthly price lists. Submit price changes and quarterly pricing to the Michigan Liquor Control Commission (MLCC).
  • Update pricing for supplier price increases, prepare upload pricing files and verify prices have been entered accurately.
  • Communicate/Coordinate quarterly Discontinued Product Review and update in Master Price File and Route Accounting Software.
  • Be highly organized with strong ability to prioritize against a maintained pricing planning calendar.
  • Effectively communicate to supervisor and/or other leadership.
  • Review new item setup audit weekly and follow up to resolve issues.
  • Audit zero-dollar sales bi-monthly, document, report findings and resolve issues.
  • Monitor zero cost inventory weekly, analyze issues and communicate to Brand Management and Operations.
  • Cost Per Case (CPC) tracking and analysis for key suppliers
  • Support Annual Topline Budget Process.
  • Perform other work related duties and special projects as assigned.

  • Communicate findings by preparing a final report and discussions with Management.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting (four-year college or university)
Experience: Minimum 1 year of pricing or accounting experience in a business environment.
Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Excel and Accounting Software. Advanced Excel skills to include formulas
such as V-Look Up, Index-Match, Pivot Tables and Conditional Formatting.

Other Requirements: Must pass physical, drug screen, background check and motor vehicle report.
