West Pico Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is Hiring a Medical Coordinator Near Los Angeles, CA

We are seeking a Medical Assistant for Physician Practice to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
  • Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
  • Duties currently 4 days a week in Mid-City Los Angeles and 1 day a week in Encino
  • Surgical coordinating with various hospitals and facilities.
  • Patient file management, registration
  • Patient data management with registration of data within various electronic medical records and other similar systems.
  • Authorization, insurance management, pre-certification checks for patient files
  • Be the primary point of contact between the doctor and patients.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a medical office
  • Familiarity medical terminology, and patient insurance workflows
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent SPANISH Speaking - No Exceptions
  • Computer skills, multitasking, Microsoft Office, PDF management.
  • Advanced email management skills. You must be able to manage multiple email accounts.
  • Previous familiarity with the the field of orthopedics is preferred, although not required.
  • Knowledge of California Workers Compensation rules and regulation is preferred, although not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $28.50 per hour
