Until filled West Hartford Public Schools seeks a candidate with a proactive nature for a full-time Pre-Kindergarten paraprofessional position at Webster Hill Elementary School. This is a 10-month position with primary responsibility supporting classroom teachers. Candidate must be flexible and patient with effective interpersonal skills. Prior experience preferred.
Paraprofessionals are expected to exhibit professionalism, punctuality, and attentiveness of job responsibilities at all times.
REQUIREMENT:
Minimum qualification is a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or 30 ECE credits 2 years’ experience is preferred. 12 Credits in Early Childhood Education required. Familiarity with School-Readiness, CT PAF/PCF, CT ELDS, and NAEYC-accreditation standards is preferred. Must currently hold or be willing to pursue CPR/First Aid certification. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
