West End Christian School, Inc. is Hiring a Middle School Teacher Near Hopewell, VA

Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Christian teacher to join our team. You will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students. You will develop and implement lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide guidance and support to help students reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and participation
- Use a variety of teaching methods and learning technologies to cater to different learning styles
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and other forms of evaluation
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their academic performance
- Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure effective communication and support for students
- Participate in professional development activities to stay updated on the latest teaching techniques and educational trends
- Provide academic advising and guidance to students regarding course selection, career paths, and college applications
- Utilize library services and resources to enhance classroom instruction
- Foster creativity through activities such as creative writing projects or art assignments
- Offer tutoring or additional support to students who may be struggling academically

Qualifications:

- Profession of faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior
- Completion of or working towards Bachelor's degree
- Strong knowledge of the subject area(s) you will be teaching (e.g., Math, Geometry, Trigonometry)
- Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning
- Proficiency in learning technologies and educational software/tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
