Position Summary:

The Senior Medical Biller will be integral in our revenue cycle management, focusing on medical billing, coding, Accounts Receivable collections, claims error identification, and claims denials management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end medical billing process, including claim generation, submission, and payment collection
• Supervise in-house and remote billing staff
• Conduct internal audits for compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to accurately code procedures and services
• Mentor and guide junior billing staff
• Interface with insurance companies for claims processing and resolution of denials
• Develop and implement revenue cycle management best practices
• Resolve complex billing scenarios and troubleshoot issues as they arise

Requirements:

• Must be CCA (AHIMA) and CPC (AAPC) certified
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing, including at least one year in a senior supervisory role
• Familiarity with the process of identifying and correcting claims errors
• Experience with Accounts Receivable Collections and Claims Denials Management
• Proficient in the use of medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Comprehensive understanding of healthcare compliance and regulations
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
