Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled, organized and detail oriented individual to join our accounting team. The AR specialist responsibilities will include customer payments posting, daily balancing, and research discrepancies. If you are thorough researcher with excellent communication and record keeping skills, self-motivated with strong math and computer skills join our accounting team.

Requirements

· Post checks and credit card payments-daily

· Monitor AR aging report and reach out to customers with past due balances via mail, email, and outbound calls to identify and resolve AR issues and discrepancies with urgency while fostering customer relationships

· Orchestrate a schedule of follow up communications with past due customers keeping with company guidelines and expectations, escalating appropriate accounts to management as needed

· Meet and maintain AR collection activity targets and reduce overall average days to pay

· Post electronic payments received from different payment platforms-daily

· Maintain and update customer accounts with changes in payment terms and billing information

· Perform weekly AR reports and account reconciliations

· Generate and send invoices

· Research and resolve payment discrepancies

· Prepare and enter credit memos

· Resolve account issues in a timely manner by communicating effectively with customer and the Sales team.

· Assist with month end closing

· Other accounting projects as needed or instructed by the accounting lead team

Experience and Education

• Associate Degree in Accounting preferred
• prior professional billing/accounts receivable experience required
• Microsoft Great Plains experience preferred
• Microsoft Excel skills required
• Team player, willing to learn new tasks and help with other projects
• Attention to detail
• Self-driven professional willing to take ownership of the role within a team environment.
• Good customer service skills
