Collision Repair instructor will: The overall responsibility of this position has several components: plans and implements an instructional program that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students, consistent with the District’s approved curriculum and teaching methodology; guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals, and in harmony with the goals, establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects by establishing and maintaining classroom lesson plans as well as substitute lesson plans. This includes the instruction of students through lecture, demonstration, discussions, projects, practical activities, experiments, assignments, excursions, taking into account the differences in individual students; adaptation of teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests; and remaining current with researched based teaching methodology and implementing such where appropriate in the classroom setting. The teacher is responsible for creating a purposeful learning environment that is appropriate to the maturity and interest of students; organization of classroom materials such as handouts, audio-visuals and computer related lessons; organization of desks, bulletin boards, and student work areas; and for setting positive examples for students and colleagues. You also need the ability to implement quality, health, and safety standards onsite and instill in students. To succeed, it’s important to be willing and able to develop partnerships to benefit the program and offset areas outside of expertise.

* Collaborate with CTE colleagues and post secondary institutions;

* Implement safety and quality guidelines;
* Keep track of material stock and orders;
* Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly;
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
*Must have ability to obtain a State of Idaho teaching certification.
*Previous experience in collision repair or in a similar role;
* Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for shop setting;
* In-depth understanding of collision repair operations and processes;
* Organizational and time-management skills;
* Adaptability;
* The ability to work with multiple discipline projects;
* Excellent supervision skills;
* Strong written and verbal communication skills;
* Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices;
*Knowledge of current industry trends

Pay: $47,000.00 - $79,620.00 per year
