Job Summary:
We are seeking an Associate Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management within the construction industry and possess strong organizational and communication skills. As an Associate Project Manager, you will assist in overseeing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Assist in coordinating and managing project activities, including subcontractor selection, procurement, and scheduling
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgetary constraints
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect work quality and address any issues or concerns
- Assist in preparing project reports, including cost estimates, progress updates, and risk assessments
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Utilize construction management software to track project documentation and maintain accurate records
- Assist in reviewing project schematics and blueprints to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations
- Support the Project Manager in resolving any conflicts or disputes that may arise during the construction process
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- Previous experience in project management within the construction industry is required
- Proficiency in construction management software (such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Primavera) is highly desirable
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Knowledge of construction estimating principles and practices
- Familiarity with project scheduling techniques
