Job Summary

The Facilities Maintenace Technician assists with the activities required to maintain the facility and equipment used in the autoimmune diagnostics industry while following established maintenance procedures. Major duties include routine facility maintenance, modifications and repairs, and assistance with facility projects.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintenance and repair of various facility support systems and manufacturing equipment according to written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and schedules, under the direction of the Facilities Coordinator.
  • Properly completes all required documentation in accordance with Quality System Regulations (QSRs).
  • Performs facility and grounds cleaning, repairs, preventive maintenance, modifications, etc. as directed by management.
  • Oversee outside vendors for performance and quality of workmanship.
  • Organizes and complete small, minor facility upgrade projects.
  • Responsible for scheduling and overseeing the PM maintenance activities tied to SOP E063.
  • Responsible for keeping the restrooms in working order, ensuring they are clean and stocked with janitorial supplies.
  • Complete daily restroom inspections and provide feedback to the janitorial vendor on performance and quality of work.
  • Assists with troubleshooting and repairs to the HVAC system including the BMS computer system.
  • Assists with stocking, organizing and/or relocation of warehouse/manufacturing areas.
  • Informs supervisor of equipment needs and other supplies required to avoid interruptions in facility maintenance and repair schedules. Informs supervisor of broken, deteriorating, or missing tools and equipment.
  • Assists the Events Planning and HR teams with organizing company functions.
  • Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner. Performs weekly cleaning responsibilities in a thorough, timely manner.
  • Provide logistic support to the Instrumentation group with Instruments and lab carts.
  • Reports potential facility or equipment deficiencies, problems, etc. to supervisor.
  • Follows established health, safety, and environmental procedures. Reports all safety hazards immediately.
  • Maintains the facility spare parts inventory, including janitorial supplies.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent
  • 3 to 4 years of related work experience. Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree or certificate from a recognized training program.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience safely operating various pneumatic, vacuum, electrical and mechanical systems, hand tools, machinery and related measuring devices and instruments.

Salary Range:

$24/hr - $31/hr

Individual compensation is based on the candidates experience, skills, knowledge, education, certifications, internal equity, budget and or other business and organizational needs.
