HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WENY) - Located in the Southern Tier of Central New York State in Chemung County Cornelius Lyons has created the worlds largest modern day sculptor garden with approximately 800 pieces of outdoor abstract steel sculptures. Located on forty acres of manicured paths he pays homage to many famous Americans so when you tour his garden it is meant to feel like taking a patriotic pilgrimage.

"I'm working on my 800th sculpture but I gave some away I give some to corning community college the community arts center one in Elmira probably about 790." says owner of the estate Cornelius Lyon.

Cornelius's sculptor garden consists of 800 visual inventions ranging from all different types of art including Zeroism Bambooism nuclearism but recently the best invention has been glass.

"My best addition lately for twelve years I've been blowing glass I've had all kinds of glass and when the sun is shining just right its like a thousand angel eyes baptizing your eyes as you walk around my sculptor garden."

The tour is a hiking trail but for those who struggle to walk Cornelius can give the tour using his ATV which sits four to five people.

When you finish up with the tour there is a special gift waiting for you also known as a gratitude marble with a significance behind it.

"The object of this marble that I give to you someday when somebody does something nice for you you have to give it away to somebody else to pass gratitude along in the world."
