Wentwood Companies is Hiring a Compliance Analyst - Affordable Housing Near Austin, TX

Performs compliance monitoring work to include; conducting file reviews for affordable housing Developments in the Westlake Housing portfolio to ensure program compliance with the Land Use Restriction Agreement (LURA) and IRS requirements, conduct onsite and desk reviews, evaluate reports, and provide technical assistance specifically related to the Housing Tax Credit , HOME, Housing Trust Fund and Tax Exempt Bond programs, Project-Base Section 8 (or any other as may be development specific) to ensure compliance with Federal, State, County, or any other affordable program requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct eligibility file review
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the property staff and compliance contacts to correct potential noncompliance
  • Provide phone and email support for the Compliance Department
  • Provide Clerical support to the Director of Compliance as needed
  • Conduct property audits and prepare audit reports
  • Assist On-Site staff with audit corrections
  • Review Reports
  • Calculate Income Limits, Rent Limits, Utility Allowances and distribute to developments
  • Attend monitoring reviews.
  • Possess proficient knowledge or an ability to gain knowledge in affordable housing programs and requirements for all states
  • Ensure site compliance with all rules and regulations set forth by regulatory agencies associated with the company and/or its affordable programs
  • Understand affordable state housing software
  • Notify Director of Compliance if substantial noncompliance is identified
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • A minimum of four (4) to seven (7) years of LIHTC and other affordable program experience preferred
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills
  • LIHTC certified through an industry program or the ability to attain the professional designation of Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP)
  • Proficiency with Excel and Word
