What matters to us:

  • Minimum high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
  • Three (3) years’ experience in human resources
  • SHRM-CP and/or PHR certifications preferred
  • Experience working with UKG preferred
  • Experience processing FMLA and other leave claims
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the above requirements
  • Knowledge of HR laws and state/federal regulations
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, and typing skills in speed, accuracy, composition, etc.
  • Good human relations and communication skills, knowledge of office etiquette
  • Able to promote the general philosophy of Wendell Foster
  • Ability to understand the importance of the confidential nature of personnel matters
  • Possess basic computer skills and the ability to learn specialized software
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and ability to drive facility vehicles

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare and/or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software
  • Log all employee disciplinary actions, incident reports, and any other needed information in the appropriate software
  • Maintains insurance (e.g. life, health, dental, 403b) enrollments/correspondence
  • Notifies/enrolls employees on 1st anniversary for 403b retirement plan
  • Maintains FMLA files and acts as Leave Management Liaison for WF
  • Files incident reports with worker's compensation carrier; maintain files and OSHA 300 log
  • Notifies insurance companies of enrollments/terminations for COBRA election
  • Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations
