Roles & Responsibilities: Duties may be modified or additional duties assigned.
? Use software to track, check, prioritize and route orders along with processing
shipment documentation and inspecting completed orders
? Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems
and process that support finished goods storage, movement, layout and
shipment of goods to the customer.
? Direct the flow of material from preparation to shipment
? Inspect labels, barcodes and other features of completed orders
? Supervise and lead subordinates (receiving clerks, order pickers etc.)
? Ensure compliance to legal regulations, customer required policies and

? Responsible for receiving and storage of finished goods and maintaining of
integrity of inventory.
? Keeping shipping operations within budget without compromising speed or
efficiency.
? Creating and implementing shipping policies and procedures.
? Hiring, training, and supervising shipping employees.
? Acting as a liaison between management, carriers, and shipping customers.
? Collaborating with internal departments to optimize the flow of orders from
preparation to shipment.
? Documenting processes and reporting to management as required.
? Evaluating carrier performance and resolving issues with orders and logistics.
? Complying to shipping industry regulations and company policies
? Monitors shipping windows and ensures orders are completed timely to avoid
detention charges.
? Coordinates shipments and communicates with Customer Service team to
ensure timely ASN transactions
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
? Solid knowledge of logistics procedures
? Experience in using EDI and preparing shipping documents (e.g. ASN)
? Computer savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
? Good understanding of budgeting and reporting
? Experience in directing and evaluating subordinates
? Excellent organizational and communication skills
? Attention to detail
? Problem-solving abilities
? Ability to work closely with all business processes and functions
? Ability to train, teach and mentor subordinates to develop a strong team
? Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include
evenings, weekends, and occasional travel as needed to support the business
QUALIFICATIONS: Education and/or Experience:
? Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or similar preferred.
? More than 5 years' experience in the shipping industry.
? Proficiency in electronic shipping software, such as SAP
? In-depth knowledge of logistics and shipping documentation.
? Knowledge of shipping industry regulations.
? Experience working with high profile customers strongly preferred.
