Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Productivity Load and unload freight both for incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Responsible for all material movement through the facility including finished goods, tools, rafts, packaging material, scrap bins, etc.
  • Scan products in and out of locations and during shipping
  • Maintain warehouse organization
  • Pick stock for shipments, relocate, consolidate, quarantine inventory, and stage shipments
  • Pull backlogs, pull stock, and create bills of lading for customer shipments
  • Send ASNs and required paperwork to customers
  • Inspect the quality of raw materials visually or with a gauge as needed
  • Responsible for total quality of products and services and authorized to stop work when a nonconformance is noted.
  • Perform assigned quality system functions as specified in QMS procedures.
  • Perform other responsibilities as determined by the supervisor.
  • Observe established EHS regulations, procedures, and practices.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Able to read and interpret documents i.e. safety rules, work instructions, prints, and control plans.
  • Ability to use various measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, and other hand tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Must work effectively in a team.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud; hearing protection is provided and required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, coolant, or airborne particles and will work near moving mechanical parts.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to perform excessive walking, standing, bending, climbing, reaching, grasping, and lifting.
  • Ability to visually inspect parts and use of hands to use measuring gauges.
  • Ability to run machines and equipment safely and efficiently.
