Position Summary: The Charge Nurse - OR promotes the efficient and timely flow of cases through the operating room. Demonstrates ability to resolve issues in an equitable fashion as delineated by policies and procedures defining utilization of the Operating Room. Responsible for the coordination of the surgical schedule on a daily basis. Provides internal problem resolution and trouble-shooting related to operations of the operating room. Responsible for assignment of Operating Room Nursing Staff. Directs the staff during emergency situations in the Operating Room. Functions as the charge nurse for the Operating Room.

Position Requirements: Graduate from an accredited/approved school of nursing and 2 years or more of experience in an OR setting or completed a formalized Perioperative Nursing Course. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS). Current Registered Nursing License (Georgia) or qualifying multi-state compact license.

Preferred Requirements: Bachelor's of Nursing. National specialty certification applicable to area of practice (CNOR).

Scheduling Requirements: Weekend Night shift charge (Friday-Sunday) 7p-7a

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00 - $42.00 per hour
