Position Summary: The Patient Care Tech is an unlicensed staff member who supports professional staff in providing care and service to patients and families under the direction and supervision of registered nurses, and supports the plan of care for assigned patients.
Position Requirements: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization. Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification, passing grade in Fundamentals of Nursing course, or a minimum of two years of related experience. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS). Organization and communication skills, must effectively speak, read and write English.
Preferred Requirements: Experience as a nursing assistant.
