Job Summary:
The Executive Director, Medical Imaging is based at Wellstar MCG Health in Augusta, Georgia. This leader oversees all Hospital Inpatient, Perioperative Imaging and Outpatient Imaging Services including Diagnostic Radiology, MRI, CT, X-Ray, Mammo, Ultrasound, PET CT and Nuclear Medicine. This individual is directly responsible for all imaging provider-based locations. Providing quality services according to established policies and procedures is a key responsibility. This individual leads hospital Radiation Safety Committee.

The Executive Director develops, interprets and implements budgets and strategic growth, and long-term plans. This leader ensures that quality services are provided according to established policies and procedures. The individual is responsible for performing a wide variety of management tasks requiring independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative.

The Executive Director is able to independently perform job functions. This leader should have a comprehensive operational understanding of hospital inpatient and outpatient imaging departments and equipment planning while remaining current with changes in Imaging Regulations and Technology.
Required Minimum Education:

• A graduate of AMA approved School of Radiology is required.
• Baccalaureate degree in Health Care Administration or related field is required.

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

• Registered Medical Sonographer, Registered Radiology Tech, OR Cert Nuclear Med Tech is required.

Required Minimum Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in managing a Radiology Department is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience as an Imaging Director or above is strongly preferred.

Required Minimum Skills:

• The individual must be able to communicate and understand verbal and written English language and display a positive attitude.
• Organizational skills that enable the individual to react and perform under stress and emergency situations and to manage two to three activities at one time on an on-going basis.
• Management skills to effectively lead employees in a task-oriented environment, time management skills to meet scheduled and non-scheduled operational deadlines, analytical skills to prepare and manage budget.
• Excellent negotiation skills and product knowledge to maintain competitive edge in technology.
• Lean Six Sigma/Process Improvement experience preferred.
