About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Director to drive, lead, and implement technology teams for Rewards. The technology teams will be responsible for designing and building out the implementation strategies that will deliver a Rewards microservice architecture platform for Wells Fargo. This individual must be able to work well with Audit, Risk, Legal, Technology Vendor, and Business Partners to ensure clear communication on enabled features and capabilities. They must have technology skills with a proven track record of being able to drive technology execution across both managed and co-supplier teams.
In this role, you will:
  • Manage a team of engineering managers and engineering leads
  • Focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic priorities
  • Build support for strategies with business and technology leaders
  • Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans
  • Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices
  • Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers
  • Identify financial management and strategic resourcing
  • Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
  • Develop strategies for hiring engineering talent
  • Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 8 years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4 years of Management experience

Desired Qualifications:
  • Executive level leadership experience managing a complex organization including senior managers, managers, individual contributors, and vendor resources across multiple locations
  • Proven experience designing and delivering a consumer lending microservice architecture platform
  • Proven record of delivery across organizational lines - ability to influence outcomes at senior levels
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Agile delivery experience
  • Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
  • Build support for strategies with business and technology leaders
  • Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications, who can also assist in building and presenting complex topics to Executive management in multiple mediums
  • Experience delivering results in a highly regulated, deadline driven environment
  • Superior analytical skills including analyzing complex data
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
  • Ability to manage to concurrent competing and changing deadlines, quickly assess issue and concerns while bringing those issues to quick resolution
  • Proactive innovator, motivator and change agent; able to lead change effectively and constructively in an organization
  • Experience creating and achieving a desired future state vision through influence on individual and group goals, reinforcements, and systems
