About this role:

As a Lead Strategy Consultant in Enterprise Strategy Consulting, you will work closely with Wells Fargo’s top executives and provide strategic advice, subject matter expertise, and innovative solutions to Wells Fargo's businesses. In your role, you will lead a team of consultants in projects that contribute towards defining the overall strategy of the firm and lines of business.

As a Lead Strategy Consultant, you can expect to: 

• Scope and develop project plan for an engagement and lead end-to-end strategy development
• Independently lead project engagements in collaboration with senior strategy leaders
• Coach, motivate and guide junior team members
• Identify, gather, and analyze appropriate data and drive the insights that inform strategic recommendation
• Conduct competitive assessments, customer and industry research, and financial analysis as an input to understanding Wells Fargo’s relative market position 
• Evaluate strategic options and develop recommendations for lines of business or enterprise-wide projects, typically in partnership with strategy colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders
• Deliver solutions and recommendations and guide execution/implementation (as appropriate) of cross business strategic priorities
• Develop presentations and other documents for senior management independently and in partnership with other team members
• Provide strategic consulting services to client organizations leveraging industry knowledge and build expertise around Wells Fargo businesses

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years of Strategy and Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 2 years of project management experience

Desired Qualifications:

• 5 years of digital strategy experience (financial services industry experience preferred)
• “Outside the box” thinking with ability to ramp-up & master new subject matter
• Leads through ambiguity, defines, and deconstructs problems, connect the dots, and anticipate end-to-end project needs
• Partners with and successfully influences senior executives and other stakeholders at all levels across the matrix organization 
• Outstanding problem-solving skills, qualitative and quantitative data analysis experience and high attention to details
• Ability to develop a cohesive, data-based strategic recommendation through strong executive-level written and oral presentation
• Initiative taking and eagerness to break new ground
• Demonstrated leadership ability in a team environment
• Experience with premier strategy consulting firm or an internal strategy consulting/corporate strategy within financial services, FinTech or BigTech
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills
• A BS/BA degree or higher
