About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Global Commercial Trade Operations Leader for all Trade Operations functions.
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for the execution of all operational functions supporting Global Receivable and Trade (GRT) for commercial trade finance products, including letters of credit, receivables financing, and financial institution financing.
- Support Trade Operations strategic Commercial Banking (CB) and Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) customers with their global trade transactions.
- Have front-line exposure to the global trade environment, providing Wells Fargo customers the global expertise and network needed to effectively manage their cross-border trade deals and financing needs.
- Lead large Global Commercial Trade Finance Operations team across multiple sites to ensure the Global Trade Operations model is set up to deliver global service to the required enterprise and control standards that address Global business expectations.
- Lead and deliver on Global Trade Transformation initiatives. Collaborate across product and business lines to ensure strategic and technology goals are met.
- Drive the team towards continuous process improvements, identifying opportunities for improving quality and accuracy, improving controls, ideas to eliminate waste and driving effective and efficient operations
- Build and foster collaborative relationship with business partners and stakeholders. Ensure there is regular connect with key stakeholders to review performance, priorities, and other business initiatives.
- Develop requisite reporting & business metrics to monitor and drive the right outcome for the business stakeholders
- Deliver against project milestones and budget targets through collaboration with product owners and technology partners. Candidate will be expected to innovate and identify areas of technology investment using data to support risk reduction and efficiency gains.
Required Qualifications, US:
- 8 years of Trade Services experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4 years of Management experience
Desired Qualifications:
- 4 years in leading and managing operations in a global Banking / Financial Services environment, prefer leadership experience in Commercial Trade Operations.
- Experience leading and delivering on Global Trade Transformation initiatives.
- Experience in people and Global Trade organization design management to achieve productivity, and efficiency by managing right talent mix and capacity planning for multi-faceted and geographically dispersed organization.
- Strong acumen of risk management and process engineering disciplines for developing lean process, identification of risks and development of controls and monitoring routines
- Experience with Trade risk, financial crime and compliance with internal, industry and regulatory rules and policies
- Experience leading through multiple lines of internal testing, internal Audits, and external regulatory exams.
- Experience building and fostering collaborative relationship with business partners and stakeholders.
- Experience with project delivery and business execution
- Experience develop requisite reporting & business metrics to monitor and drive the right outcome for the business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to challenge existing processes and drive change management culture across the team.
- Experience maintaining strong culture of control and risk management. Ensure broad governance model is established.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment and managing multiple competing priorities
