About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Fiduciary Manager as part of the Trust Account Opening and Maintenance team within Wealth and Investment Management Operations. This team supports the account opening process for Wells Fargo trust accounts and serves as an escalation point for trust officers, financial advisors and clients. The team is also responsible for day-to-day asset maintenance, providing account governance and reporting and meeting compliance standards set by regulators.
The Fiduciary Manager will manage a team of senior fiduciary specialists while ensuring the firm's trust and agency account administration and best-in-class trust services experience for advisors and clients. In this role, you will:
Manage and develop a team senior fiduciary specialists with moderate complexity and risk in Fiduciary Management Services, promoting growth, profit management, and risk management
Engage stakeholders and partners within the Trust Services functional area
Assign accounts and ensure relationships are managed according to fiduciary policies and procedures to ensure satisfactory audits and service standards
Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development within the Fiduciary Management Services office
Lead team in new business-related efforts and acquisitions, retain or expand current relationships and coach on business development investment strategies
Review documents, negotiate fees, and approve discretionary distributions up to appropriate amount
Make decisions and resolve issues regarding objectives and operations of Fiduciary Management Services team to meet business objectives
Implement estate plans and collaborate with investment and risk partners to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Provide fiduciary oversight and answer moderately complex questions regarding trust taxability, document interpretation, and fiduciary risk management
Collaborate with Trust Services leadership, risk partners and other regional leaders to ensure consistent execution and quality of service
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Fiduciary Products
Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
Required Qualifications:
4 years of Fiduciary Products experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
2 years of Leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
4 years of Trust or Brokerage experience
2 years of Financial Services operations experience
Strong knowledge of process improvement and business transformation practices
Ability to develop, retain, and manage client relationships
Ability to effectively assess stakeholder, partner, or client needs while consulting, building solutions, and developing processes
Strong people management and demonstrated leadership skills including coaching, training, and mentoring
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation
Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) skills
Job Expectations:
