About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Capital Markets Middle Office Senior Manager to join the Process Review & Enhancement (PRE) team within Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Operations. The individual will manage a program responsible for the cross functional Self-Inspection Program governance, Business Continuity & Resiliency Planning, and Information Security functions for CIB Operations. The successful candidate will utilize his or her knowledge of and experience in Capital Markets Operations products and processes to drive a strategic program of Self-Inspection governance, management of user access and resiliency planning covering the various teams and asset classes within CIB Operations.
The cross functional Self-Inspection Program governance role is responsible for identifying control and process gaps and measuring the effectiveness of controls in managing operational risk, identifying, and communicating trends related to the effectiveness of controls, and implementing control related improvements impacting CIB Operations. This individual will influence the organization on behalf of the Self-Inspection Program to ensure that prioritization and decision making are made with transparent risk and control information, in line with feedback and perspectives from Operations leaders and other business partners. The individual will leverage Capital Markets Operations experience to work with line teams and across the Self-Inspection Program to document standards for best practices, in support of the control framework. The individual will work with Business Control and Operational Risk at various levels in the organization to drive out consistent practices. The role will collaborate with Operations team members and business partners to recommend solutions for the remediation of control and process gaps across the platform, while capturing and escalating top risks within CIB Operations.
The Information Security function provides user access management support across all CIB Operations teams; including both internally provisioned access and any external access required for the CIB Operations and India CIB Operations teams. This individual is listed as a matrix owner for the CIB Operations SIMBA Matrices that contain all identified functional role profiles and the associated applications/access levels for each profile. This manager is responsible for implementing a user access strategy designed to educate CIB Operations and India CIB Operations team members and improve accuracy and efficiency in the access provisioning process.
The Business Continuity & Resiliency Planning (BCRP) function is responsible for managing and maintaining individual BCRP documents encompassing all CIB Operations teams and locations, including all required annual exercise and maintenance activities for each plan. They support both internal and external audit events providing user access level details and appropriateness rationale for identified applications and team members as required by the audit team. This team member is certified in WF Business Continuity & Resiliency Planning and maintains the certification annually.
