Join our team as the Manager of Donor Relations and play a vital role in cultivating strong donor relationships and generating crucial revenue for Wellroot Family Services. Reporting to the Director of Development, you will be instrumental in achieving our annual fundraising goals and driving forward our strategic objectives. Responsibilities:
Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individuals, raising four to six figure gifts
Manage a portfolio of over 100 relationships comprised of individuals capable of making annual gifts of $1,000 or more
Support the Director of Development in implementing moves management strategies and advising on donor relationships
Create quarterly organizational updates for Relationship Managers to communicate with donors
Provide guidance on engagement strategies for major giving relationships to the director and executive team
Collaborate with the Director of Development and Director of Marketing to develop and execute donor stewardship plans and segmentation strategies
Assist with fundraising strategies aligned with departmental goals, including prospect research, community applications, and calling campaigns
Support expansion of a planned gifts program through cultivation events and stewardship
Develop and launch a corporate matching program
Establish a robust monthly donor program by acquiring new monthly donors and nurturing existing ones.
Work closely with the Church and Community Engagement team to engage and solicit support from volunteers
Monitor and report progress to the Director of Development on performance objectives and metrics related to individual giving
Support colleagues in the External Relations team to plan and execute strategic events for donor acquisition, engagement, and stewardship
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2-4 years in non-profit development or community engagement experience
Preferred experience working in non-profits supporting children, youth and families, or faith-based organizations
Proficiency in using CRM or donor databases, preferably DonorPerfect, and ability to maintain electronic donor and prospect files
Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to convey information and opportunities effectively and passionately
Ability to compile statistics and measure program performance
Collaborative, flexible, amiable, & willing to work as a team player
Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational, and effective time management skills
Working Environment:
Willing to travel occasionally throughout the Greater Atlanta area to meet with donors. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing essential job functions.
