The Development Coordinator (DC) position at Wellesley Village Church is a newly developed role to optimize philanthropic giving to the Church through its annual stewardship drive, planned giving program, and future capital campaigns.

In collaboration with the Stewardship Committee, Church Accountant, and Church Administrator and Senior Pastor, the Development Coordinator will assist our annual stewardship activity and other projects that may come up such as a capital campaign, planned giving or fundraising projects.
Details
□ The role is a contractor position.
□ The Development Coordinator reports to the Senior Pastor.
□ 20 hours/week.
□ Pay is $35/hour.
DATABASE MANAGEMENT
Working with the Church Accountant and Stewardship Committee
□ Updating and correcting database records, including address updates, creating new records, basic queries, data exports, and basic analysis of Excel spreadsheets
□ Create monthly fundraising reports and other database reports as needed.
□ Track solicitation success throughout the year.
□ Track specific constituent group giving (e.g. family giving, individual giving, LYBUNTs)
DONOR MANAGEMENT
Working with the Church Administrator and Stewardship Committee
□ Coordinate production and mailing of solicitation letters.
□ Support maintenance of donor records in the donor databases.
□ Prepare data/materials for board and stewardship committee meetings.
□ Assist the Church Administrator with donor acknowledgment and pledge reminders as needed.
□ Provide various donor, prospect, and constituent information as requested.
□ Manage and coordinate various donor recognition efforts (e.g. Thank you notes and End of Year Reporting).
CAPITAL CAMPAIGN PREPARATION
□ Develop a targeted list of significant donors through research.
□ Collaborate in the strategic plan for the capital campaigns.
EVENT COORDINATING
□ Assist in planning and executing fundraising events as requested.
WORKING IWTH STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE
□ Maintain guest lists, prepare and track registration materials and other duties as assigned for Stewardship Committee Events.
□ Assist with set-up, technical assistance and administrative details associated with monthly Stewardship Committee meetings.
□ Coordinating donor outreach, engagement, and other fundraising activities, including annual donor cultivation and recognition events.
OTHER TASKS
□ Manage and maintain annual development calendar.
□ Additional tasks as assigned.
Experience and Skills:
Experience with a Customer Relations Manager database such as Razes Edge, Breeze, ACS.
Experience generating data reports from database.
Professional office experience.
Experience working with confidential data.
