Position Details:
  • Title: Special Education Teacher
  • Location: Wellesley, MA
  • Duration: SY 23-24
  • Onsite/Virtual: Onsite
  • Position Type: Contract
  • Working Hours: 40 hours weekly, from Monday to Friday
  • Student Age Group: K-5
  • Case Load: 8 kids
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Provide differentiated and inclusive instruction to address diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies.
  • Implement positive behavior support strategies.
  • Maintain open and regular communication with parents.
  • Stay current with best practices in special education through ongoing professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Massachusetts State Certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and special education laws.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
