Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Payroll Operations to join our team. The right candidate will be a change agent, supporting our ERP implementation and developing ways to streamline processes. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the weekly and semi-monthly payroll processes for over 750 employees while ensuring accurate calculation of wages, tax withholding and other deductions. The position will also work with Ceridan to ensure the timely execution of weekly and quarterly tax remittance and reporting processes. Where You'll Work

This role will be based out of our Concord, MA headquarters where you will be immersed in a dynamic workplace where innovation thrives and collaboration is key.

Our company in-office schedule is designed to maximize collaboration & relationship building balanced with flexibility and well-being with 3 days in office and Thursdays/Friday being remote, flex days.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage daily payroll operations for multiple site locations and remote workers in different states.
  • Leverage opportunities to streamline procedures while continuing to maintain a strong set of internal controls.
  • Partner with plant HR to ensure that local time and attendance information is properly interfaced into the Oracle payroll module in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with HR on any updates associated with employee compensation, benefits changes, garnishments, and tax gross ups.
  • Ensure accurate computation and recording of time, earnings, benefits, tax, garnishments, and all other payroll adjustments.
  • Manage relationship with Ceridian while overseeing the timely and accurate remittance and reporting of payroll tax and other withholdings.
  • Oversee weekly and semi-monthly remittances of employee / employer 401k contributions to the Company's plan administrator.
  • Ensure compliance with government related reporting while staying abreast of relevant legislation impacting payroll and other payroll tax related matters.
  • Assist Accounting with the reconciliation support for all payroll-related balance sheet accounts.
  • Work with IT business partner on application testing relating to Oracle and Vertex (tax) system updates / upgrades while troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Assist and provide support with periodic audits (benefit plans, state and local agencies, worker's comp insurer and annual financial statements).

Who You Are:

  • Seasoned payroll manager or administrator
  • Self-starter with the ability to anticipate, diagnose and resolve issues as they arise
  • Ability to identify, influence and execute process improvements
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively support projects, both internally and cross functionally
  • Proactive and driven with the ability to lead self and others with passion and authenticity
  • Ability to question the status quo and embrace a growth mindset as a means to influence and drive process improvements to streamline and make core payroll processes more efficient
  • Team player with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude; must be able to prioritize workload and objectives in a high-paced, growth environment.
  • Ability to motivate, mentor Accounts Payable Associate

What You'll Need:

  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8-10 years of progressive payroll experience
  • Experience with ERP upgrade / implementation a plus
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
