Weisser Distributing is Hiring a Remote Financial Analyst

As a Financial Analyst, your duties will include providing financial analysis and insights to support the growth of our ecommerce business. This includes analyzing financial data to identify trends and opportunities, developing and implementing financial models to support decision-making and strategic planning. Additionally key responsibilities include developing financial models to help the Executive team understand the potential impact of different decisions, and preparing clear and concise financial reports and presentations.
Your efforts will play a pivotal role in expanding our business offerings and strategically growing Weisser Distributing.

Essential Functions

  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitor strategies to stay ahead of the market, identify gaps, and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Reviewing profitability of both new and existing business, providing analysis to the business, and analyzing financial data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Implement and support tools and reporting for planning, forecasting, monitoring and decision support as well as track, analyze, and report information that is predictive and actionable
  • Develop and implement financial models to support decision-making.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics tools to track product performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize product selection.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant industry regulations and certifications to ensure business complies with legal requirements.
  • Participate in team brainstorming sessions to develop new design ideas.
  • Maintain clean and uncluttered office, regularly disposing of finished product samples


Additional Responsibilities

  • Prepares annual and quarterly financial forecasts for sales, operating income, head count
  • Prepares, modifies, and tracks division forecasts and budgets
  • Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools for all departments
  • Work closely with the manufacturing department to produce and analyze work efficiency, offering support and ideas for improvements
  • Support a continuous improvement culture, looking at ways to improve current processes focusing on producing value adding reports that drive improvement actions
  • Act as a business partner – offering general financial support to commercial decision makers
  • Undertake project-based work for specific strategies / business initiatives
  • Assist in preparation of annual budget and financial reports
  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Supports compliance and financial/analytical audits through analysis, explanations and document gathering
  • Employs strong math skills to compute ratios and calculate averages; prepare and review charts, spend plans, accounting records, graphs and reports
  • Follows administrative, confidential, and sensitive data guidelines in maintaining the security of company proprietary information
  • Collaborates with Operations, Management, MIS, and Finance team members
  • Defines and documents standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidelines, and best practices to streamline workflows
  • Provides fact-driven root cause analysis

Desired Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; or CPA
  • 2-5 years of experience in Financial planning or similar role
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Experience with budgeting, tracking, and forecasting
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels and functional areas within the organization
  • Ability to determine and clearly communicate benefits of change in advocacy of process improvements
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and propose practical solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
  • Comfortable with autonomy and is self-motivated
  • Excellent analytical and research skills to identify potential products that align with our brand's values and meet customer demands.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about e-commerce and keeping abreast of industry developments.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will have no supervisory responsibility.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, non-exempt position and the hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday 8a-5p. This will be a hybrid position, with an office to home ratio as determined by your supervisor.

Weisser Distributing offers a hybrid work model for some positions. WD may allow employees to work from home, on the road, or from appropriate satellite locations for all or part of their regular workweek.

Employees utilizing hybrid model working are responsible for communicating their physical working location with their manager on a daily basis. This ensures proper safety check in procedures in case of an emergency. Employees are expected to follow all procedures and work rules when working on-site.

Work Environment

This job operates in an office-like environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers as well as attends virtual meetings and a sitting desk. Some work may also be done remotely, away from the office environment.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 50 pounds.

Travel

Some travel may be required for training and or photographing products
