Job Description:

• Communicate regularly with the project manager to provide quality control updates and advise on issues or problems.
• Coordinate, oversee, and review outside testing agencies to ensure proper techniques and contract compliance.
• Provide oversight of subcontractor submittals and the submittal register.
• Order and receive necessary materials and equipment.
• Coordinate and administer weekly safety meetings, identifying elements relevant to quality control.
• Monitor quality and safety practices daily, conducting ongoing inspections to minimize corrections and punch-list items.
• Implement delegated authority to stop work in unsafe practice situations.
• Provide direction to the project engineer and prioritize critical path items to maintain project schedule.
• Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance regarding timeliness, efficiency, and quality.
• Review deliveries for timeliness and accuracy, ensuring consistency with approved submittals.
• Complete daily reports on inventory, ongoing/completed work items, weather conditions, quality/safety issues, and site visitors.
• Provide weekly updates for "as-built" conditions and maintain safety logs.
• Create a punch-list for completion before requesting a "Substantial Completion" certificate, coordinating with the superintendent and subcontractors.
• Represent the company during testing of alarm systems, mechanical systems, and equipment.
• Coordinate with project management to ensure all close-out documents are complete and submitted.
• Travel may be required for temporary project site assignments.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 5 years of proven experience in Quality Control Management.
• Current OSHA 30 and USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification.
• Demonstrated job knowledge, timely decision-making, and sound judgment.
• Ability to identify problems, gather and analyze information, and make appropriate recommendations for project success.
• Capacity to meet established goals while ensuring work quality through accuracy and thoroughness.
• Competency to take independent actions and calculated risks, seeking help when necessary.
• Flexibility, organization, and detail orientation with efficient time management skills.
• Ability to work well in group problem-solving situations.
• Working knowledge of computers, proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and project management software.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions and perform physical tasks such as standing, climbing, bending, and stooping daily.
• Maintain a valid driver's license and operate a personal vehicle.
• Utilize visual and auditory skills.
