WEG, a leader in the worldwide production of electric motors supplies product into a large variety of commercial applications. We are looking for a motivated Project Manager to lead the developments of Electronically Commutated Motors (EC Motors). Duties of the Project Manager include lead the development team, communicate with various departments to keep everyone on board about any changes to the project plan, set deadlines, monitor project progress, solve issues that arise, manage project budget, validate product performance and operation, organize reporting, plan meetings and provide updates to management.

The ideal candidate should have effective communication, leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. If you have previous experience in electric motors and/or power electronics products, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Project Manager will be leading the team in order to expand WEG products portfolio allowing new business and increasing the market share.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Create long and short-term plans, set targets for milestones and track deadlines;
• Delegate tasks;
• Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project;
• Serve as a point of contact ensuring that the team actions remain in synergy;
• Communicate with management to keep the project aligned with their goals;
• Perform quality control of the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected;
• Adjust schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change.

Required Sills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5 years’ work experience
• Experience with Electric Motors and/or Power Electronics product developments
• Eagerness to contribute in a collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
• Knowledge of Permanent Magnet Motor design and operation
• Knowledge of Power Electronics design and operation
• Knowledge in electrical performance tests
• Familiarity with electrical laboratory equipment
• Familiarity with Electrical Motors applications
• Familiarity with Electrical Motors manufacturing process
• Familiarity with Product Compliance

Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
