Weed Wranglers is Hiring a Natural Resources Technician Near Denver, CO

Weed Wranglers is a well-established and growing business specializing in the control of noxious and nuisance weeds on public, commercial, and private properties along Colorado's Front Range. As a Weed Control Technician you will spend your days on native open spaces, green belts, parks, private rangelands and other areas where invasive weeds are inhibiting natural wildlife habitat, interfering with native ecosystems, and lowering property values.

Weed Wranglers is hiring a full-time weed spraying technician. We are seeking an outside field applicator to carefully apply herbicides to rangelands, industrial sites, native open spaces, and private properties using equipment such as off-road ATV's, UTV's, pickup trucks, hose reels, and backpack sprayers. Snow plowing during the winter months is also part of this full-time, year-round position.

This position is ideal for someone that is passionate about natural resources and ecological restoration, or those that have experience operating outdoor power equipment. It can also be a great fit for experienced pesticide applicators that are looking to spend more time outdoors with minimal customer interactions.

This is a year-round position and could be based at either our Littleton, CO or Broomfield, CO location.

Required:

  • Associates degree or higher and 2 years of work experience, or:
  • High school diploma and four years of work experience
  • Driver's License with good driving record - no DUI’s, reckless operations or similar violations within the last five years
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and walk one to three miles per day
  • Full time availability Monday - Friday and during snow events

Preferred:

  • Weed management or herbicide application experience
  • Experience operating outdoor power equipment
  • Experience working autonomously with minimal supervision
  • CO Department of Agriculture Pesticide Applicator license
