Wedgewood, Inc. is Hiring a Compounding Supervisor PM, AZ Near Scottsdale, AZ

The Compounding Supervisor AZ is responsible for managing and improving the efficiency, safety, and quality of producing compounded preparations. The Compounding Supervisor AZ is expected to collaborate with various departments and personnel in optimizing and producing prescription compounds according to production schedules. The Compounding Supervisor AZ is responsible for ensuring the technology and methods used to produce compounds is of the highest safety, quality, and productivity standards while continuously improving the compounding processes. The Compounding Supervisor AZ is responsible for ensuring all applicable laws, regulations, and standard operating procedures are adhered to within the department.

When will you work?

  • The hours for this position are Monday - Friday 11:30-8pm.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage and lead a team of Compounding Technicians
  • Sets clear, specific productivity and quality expectations
  • Monitor inventory levels of chemicals, devices and packaging materials within the lab and addresses issues with the Materials Department.
  • Develop teammates through formal coaching and individualized and targeted feedback
  • Exude a positive, can-do attitude
  • Foster a positive work environment that drives employee engagement
  • Continually seek process improvements and overcome obstacles to reduce missed opportunities for providing complete Customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure patient and company information remains confidential.
  • Adhere to all applicable company policies and state/federal regulations
  • Collaborate interdepartmentally to provide, or ask for, assistance regarding compounding or staffing as dictated by business needs


Who you are:

  • Willingness to learn, apply, and assess supervisory and process improvement methods and techniques.
  • Ability to understand the meaning of key performance indicators, alerts, and data trends in order to apply these insights to increase production, safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Openness to question existing methods while providing improvement solutions.
  • Ability to professionally and efficiently operate, manage, and control departmental activities in a multi-tasked, face paced operational environment.
  • Ability to build consensus, and motivate staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication (written and verbal).
  • Ability to develop the skills of staff members.
  • Proven collaboration skills with staff, peers and management in producing improvement solutions.
  • Strong computer skills including Outlook, Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint knowledge.
  • Proven ability to lead by example, communicate with and motivate team members.
  • Ability to monitor and obtain compliance with organizations policies and expectations.

What you’ve done:

  • High school diploma
  • Valid AZ Pharmacy Technician license.
  • Sage MAS500, or equivalent, system experience
