About This Role

The Transportation Specialist’s primary responsibility is to load and transport food and equipment from one venue to another as needed and will help ensure that all food and equipment is inventoried appropriately at pickup and delivery as well as assist in the stocking and inventory of food and equipment as needed. Energy, enthusiasm, reliability, and passion for the work, the people and the customers are key to achieving success in this role.


Responsibilities May Include:

  • Load, transport, and unload food and equipment from venue to venue as directed
  • Ensure accurate and correct inventory at load and unload
  • Perform basic maintenance checks on vehicles as directed and required
  • Assist in stocking and inventorying food and equipment as requested
  • Inform the leadership team of any failures in any vehicles or equipment used in transportation
  • Unload and store deliveries and load food and equipment for transport as needed
  • Always maintain a clean work environment and vehicle
  • Handle food and maintain food safety standards in accordance with applicable regulatory guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience:

  • Previous experience transporting equipment or food via van or truck preferred


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for eight (8) hours or more in a fast-paced environment often requiring movement
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds regularly
  • Valid CA driver’s license required
  • Must Pass a Driver’s Background Check
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) language skills a plus
