Aerial OSP Foreman

Wecom is seeking a working Aerial OSP Foreman to join our team. As an Aerial OSP Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial outside plant (OSP) infrastructure. You will lead a team of OSP technicians and ensure that projects are completed efficiently and in compliance with industry standards and regulations. This is a highly technical role that requires strong leadership skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and participate in the activities of the OSP team to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Conduct on-site assessments and develop plans for OSP construction and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Enforce safety protocols and standards to minimize risk and accidents.
• Monitor and maintain OSP equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports and work orders in Construction management software, Vitruvi
• Train and mentor team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a relevant certification or degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as an OSP Foreman or similar role
• Strong knowledge of OSP construction methods, tools, and equipment
• Lineman experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as NEC and NESC
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• The ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and maps.
• Proficient in using OSP design software and other relevant applications ex: Vitruvi.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
• Traveling up to 50%
