Weckworth’s contemporary, sophisticated technology has made us one of the most diverse contract sewing companies in the industry.POSITION OVERVIEWThis role reports into the Director of Operations and oversees two warehouse associates and two shipping associates. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for warehouse personnel and overseeing all inventory as it relates to shipping, receiving, stocking, and cycle counts. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organize Warehouse personnel to ensure all inbound materials are accounted for, properly identified, and stored.
- Oversee inventory management functions – storage, cycle count, and year-end inventory.
- Recruit and hire Warehouse personnel as needed.
- Train and manage new and existing personnel to achieve company key performance indicators.
- Manage all material transactions to ensure accurate on hand inventory is maintained and issued to the necessary parts of the production floor.
- Ability to create and utilize Bill of Lading – for commercial shipments.
- Demonstrated capability to work with Freight companies to negotiate rates and schedule shipments leaving the manufacturing facility.
- Organize and maintain necessary packaging supplies and equipment.
- Physically assemble necessary packaging and critical shipment characteristics.
- Participate in daily work activities as needed.
REQUIRED SKILL SETS:
- Minimum of 3 years of warehouse management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 3 years of shipping experience
- Minimum of 3 years of people management experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- High School diploma
- Forklift certification
- Ability to work on site in Haysville, KS
PREFERRED SKILL SETS:
- Bilingual, Spanish or Vietnamese
