The Faculty Development Center at Webster University strives to enhance quality, engagement, and efficiency of student learning experiences at Webster by supporting evidence-based teaching and fostering communities dedicated to teaching excellence. The Assistant Director is an essential member of the team, responsible for organizing professional development programs as well helping in the assessment of student learning outcomes for academic programs campus-wide and throughout Webster's network of campuses. This role is responsible for developing and implementing a variety of professional development activities for the improvement of faculty teaching, informed by evidence-based practices, and through the engaged collaboration with University faculty. Additionally, the Assistant Director leads efforts to assess student learning by coordinating activities of the University Assessment Committee and working with faculty members and academic leadership to ensure Webster is continuously improving academic programs and documenting those efforts.
A successful applicant will have experience with teaching and learning practices, an appreciation for designing and gathering evidence of learning, and experience with large projects that require gathering, organizing, and synthesizing information for final products.
This is an on-site position with flexible location and scheduling options available.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in relevant field
Experience working in student learning outcomes assessment
Experience working with accreditation
Strong oral and written communication skills; demonstrated skills in presentation, public speaking, and training
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with faculty, staff and administrators who share assessment responsibilities; demonstrated ability to work on multi-constituent teams
Ability to understand faculty and student needs concerning student learning outcomes assessment.
Experience training users with varying levels of skills
Experience implementing large-scale projects
Experience with online systems and applications
Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods
Demonstrated proficiency in Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of web-based survey administration
Proficiency in descriptive and inferential statistics
Knowledge of enterprise reporting tools
Ability to determine the most appropriate format for conveying information to a specific audience
Ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments with minimal supervision
Understanding of FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act)
