Description

Job Summary: This position will involve operating machines in the turning center, machine room, and welding, while also being the lead for all employees on 2nd shift.

Function of Position:

• Perform set up and changeover for jobs on various machines
• Measure components for dimensional approval and monitor quality during runs
• Perform machine operating duties as needed
• Assist with cleaning, maintenance, and housekeeping as needed
• Maintain communication and interaction with office and factory personnel and engineers
• Perform other functions relating to the turning center area as required

Requirements

Skills: 

• Must work well independently and in a team environment
• Must be reliable, and punctual
• Must be able to read calipers, micrometers, and blueprints
• Must have basic math and computer skills
• Perform heavy lifting- must be able to lift 50LBS.
• Ability to maintain database and written records of completed work, and inspection records
• Must be familiar with multi-axis Swiss style turning machine programming
• Must have Windows PC experience
• Familiar with CAM software a plus
• Familiar with 3D CAD software a plus 
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Ability to make decisions with intelligence, intuition, common sense

Experience/Education: 

• Previous supervisor or lead experience is a plus.
• 3 to 5 years programming/operator experience a plus
• Completion of related Vocational Certificate or Associate Program a plus
