Webb Chemical Service Corporation is Hiring an Enviornmental Health and Safety Manager Near Muskegon, MI

The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Manager shall be responsible to ensure compliance with all environmental, health, safety and other regulatory compliance requirements on a day-to-day basis. The EH&S Manager will ensure facilities and operations are performed in manner that meets all aspects of “Webb’s Safety, Regulatory and Environmental Commitment” adding Value to Webb’s customers, employees, owners and community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Direct, Oversee and Administer all EH&S company programs to various government agencies (FRA, EGLE, MIOSHA, DOT, LEPC, HAZMAT, DHS, IMDG, EPA) and industry certifications. Air Monitoring, Employee EH&S suggestions
  • Continuously improve EH&S department in assuring consistent application of EH&S policies and procedures across the company.
  • Collaborates with internal and external groups regarding process changes impacting EH&S.
  • Develop and establish EH&S goals and facilitate their tactical achievement.
  • Identify, communicate, and document regulatory requirements and compliance to various levels of the organization from the shop floor to CEO level.
  • Maintain EH&S performance records and report on performance to goals as required.
  • Operate our Safety Management System for EH&S incidents, audits, inspections, risks and compliance.
  • Management Review Team (MRT) reporting.
  • Integrated Contingency Plan.
  • Disaster Management Plan.
  • DHS Site Security Plan (SSP).
  • Obtain DHS CVI authorized user certificate.
  • Provide leadership and technical support to EH&S committees and operational teams.
  • Promote and develop EHS committee members to champion EHS excellence.
  • Responsible for communication to employees regarding companywide EH&S departmental information (i.e. policies, procedural changes etc.).
  • Attend Safety Roundtables, CSAC, and LEPC Meetings off-site.
  • Build/maintain relationships with local Police, Fire Department, HAZMAT team, Emergency Response personnel, etc.
  • Due Care Plan.
  • Solvent Tank Farm Permit Recordkeeping.
  • Emissions Exempt Recordkeeping.
  • ISO 14000.
  • Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
  • Obtain & Maintain Certified Storm Water Operator status.
  • Regulatory Review Committee Member/ Minutes Recorder.
  • Maintain Log, Records Sheet, Checklist, and Permit.
  • Responsible for review and follow up of regulations (i.e. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR’s).
  • Work with external state and federal agencies (i.e. OSHA, MIOSHA, DEQ, EPA, etc.).
  • TRI 312/ Tier II Annual Report.
  • TRI 313 Annual Reporting with Consulting Agency.
  • DEA Registration Fees and Reports with Sales Manager.
  • EPA- Pesticide Reports- State and Federal.
  • FCC- Radio Call Sign Permit.
  • OSHA 300 Log/Reporting.
  • DOT Regulatory Compliance.
  • Motor Carrier Identification Form (MCS-150).
  • Alliance for Uniform Hazmat Transportation Procedures.
  • Hazmat Certificate of Registration.
  • New Product Review Sales 401.
  • IFTA Compliance and Recordkeeping.
  • Hazardous Waste Program.
  • Co-Op FSSC22000 regulatory compliance with Quality & Responsible Distribution Supervisor.
  • Project Management.
  • Continually help employees to improve.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors on company employee evaluations.
  • Administer training of all company employees on required EH&S items.
  • Development, investigation, and tracking of Compliance Safety Operational Budgets.
  • Cost control and improvement.
  • Creation of departmental budget, capital plan development, and expense review as needed.
SKILLS

  • An understanding of EH&S codes, rules/regulations relating to the Federal, State, local, or industry.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • After/Before Hours and Weekends - as needed
  • Typical Lunch: 12pm-1pm daily
  • Out-of-town: trips to suppliers, customers, trainings, and conferences with pre-planning and approval as needed
